COERR Mae Hong Son Provided Teeth Brushing Technique for Hygiene Promotion

   COERR Mae Hong Son provided teeth brushing technique to displaced children in Border Shelters. he activities were organized on August 24th, 2019, to promote children’s hygiene for their mouth and teeth. There were 63 children, of 27 girls and 36 boys in Ban Mai Nai Soi and 48 children of 31 girls and 17 boys in Ban Mae Surin, attending this activities.

The children were taught how to brush their teeth properly as follows

      • Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.

      • Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.

      • For the upper teeth, move the brush downward, for the lower teeth, move upward.

      • To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.

      • Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth. Should brush for 2-3 minutes.

Children Received The Set of Toothbrush, Toothpaste and Cup.

Finally, children were invited to come out and practice how to brush their teeth
according the steps they have learned.

Benefits from this activity was that the children learned how to brush their teeth properly and
made new friends on weekend as well!
